In partnership with Athletics Australia and Athletics NSW – the NSWIS Athletics Program aims to deliver multiple benchmark event medals and performances through expertise, facilities and our collaborative approach to performance across all event group disciplines. 

WORLD’S BEST

The NSWIS Athletics Program has an illustrious history for nurturing high performance athletes who have achieved much international success. Amongst them are Paralympic icons Kurt Fearnley – a Paralympic gold medallist, who has won marathons around the world including the prestigious New York, London and Chicago marathons multiple times; Louise Sauvage – Australia’s most decorated Paralympian with an incredible nine gold and four silver Paralympic medals; Matt Shirvington – a former national record holder in the men’s 100m sprint. Dani Samuels – 2009 discus world champion and more recently Brandon Starc – a Commonwealth Games gold medallist in high jump; Eleanor Patterson – who became the world high jump champion in 2022; Madison de Rozario – a world champion and a Paralympic gold medallist and Rohan Browning, commonly referred to as ‘the flying mullet’ – Australia’s current fastest man over 100m.
