NSWIS athlete Britt Cox won gold in the Mogul Skiing World Cup over the weekend, making it two wins in a row following her victory in Ruka, Finland back in December.

Cox performed brilliantly on a difficult course to stand on top of the podium and confirm her position as world number one.

Cox said, “I’m so excited to have back-to-back wins. After my win in Ruka, this was the goal I set myself and I’m really happy to have executed today.”

It was also good news on the slopes for NSWIS athlete Russ Henshaw, who made an impressive return to action at the opening World Cup of Slopestyle Skiing. Henshaw had been out for almost a year and was delighted to be back competing, even though he narrowly missed out on making the final.

Henshaw said, “I am just so stoked to be fit, healthy and back on the snow. Being the first event I’ve done in a year, it’s given me good momentum going into the next one and a lot of confidence on the snow which is important.”
