Three NSWIS wheelchair basketballers have earned selection on the Australian men’s and women’s team competing at the 2015 IWBF Asia Oceania Championships.

The selections are headlined by two-time Paralympic silver medallist Kylie Gauci, who has been named vice captain of the women’s team, the Gliders.

Joining Gauci in the team is Georgia Munro-Cook, who was part of the Australian team that won silver earlier this year at the IWBF U25 Women’s Wheelchair Basketball World Championships.

The men’s team, the Rollers, features Beijing Paralympic gold medallist and NSWIS athlete Brett Stibners.

The championships take place in Chiba, Japan from 7-18 October with the top three men’s teams and top women’s team earning qualification for the 2016 Paralympic Games.
