Five NSWIS athletes have been selected on the Australian men’s under-23 wheelchair basketball team for the upcoming world championships in Turkey.

Headlined by Michael Auprince, who switched to basketball after competing for Australia in swimming at the 2012 Paralympic Games, the five strong NSWIS contingent also features Colin Smith, Luke Popel, Brad Fisher and Clarence Grogan.

The under-23 team, known as the Spinners, will play a four match series against the Australian senior men’s team before heading to Turkey for the 2013 IWBF Under-23 World Championships which began on September 7th.
