Bobsleigh brakewoman Jana Pittman (@janapittman) has added another milestone to her list of achievements following the conclusion of her debut Winter Olympic campaign in Sochi.

Having already created history by becoming the first Australian woman to compete at both the Summer and Winter Games, Pittman and pilot Astrid Radjenovic created further history by equalling Australia’s best result in the women’s bobsleigh by finishing 14th overall.

The duo did well to claim 14th following the third heat, which saw them slip back to 15th position overall after an early touch on the wall. However in the final heat of the Games for the pair, Pittman and Radjenovic clocked their fastest time of 58.37 seconds to move back into 14th and claim a slice of history.

Day 12 of Olympic action also saw the end of Callum Watson‘s (
@callumwxc) debut Olympic campaign. The cross country skier joined compatriot Phil Bellingham in the team sprint classic semi-finals, with the duo finishing 12th in their heat.

Only two NSWIS athletes will compete on day 13 in Sochi, with Anton Grimus(
@antongrimus) and Scott Kneller (@scottkneller) competing in the men’s ski cross event,

Grimus is making his Olympic debut in Sochi, while Kneller, who competed at the 2010 Games, is returning to competition after successfully rehabilitating a broken back suffered late last year.
