NSWIS cyclists Simone Kennedy and Alex Lisney (nee Green) have each won a bronze medal at the 2016 UC Para Cycling Track World Championships in Italy.

Kennedy’s bronze came on the first day of competition as she secured a podium finish in the women’s C3 pursuit, before going on to place fourth in the women’s C3 500m time trial.

Not to be outdone, Lisney took bronze in the women’s C4 pursuit to add to her seventh place finish in the women’s C4 500m time trial.

The NSWIS duo of Michael Curran and Matt Formston finished seventh in the men’s tandem pursuit, while Nick Yallouris rode as the pilot for Paul Kennedy as the duo placed seventh in the men’s tandem sprint.

Australian finished second on the medal tally with 14 medals; four gold, five silver and five bronze.
