Chrystal secures Olympic selection

Alpine skier Lavinia Chrystal is set for her Olympic debut after securing selection on the Australian Olympic team.

Chrystal’s place on the team was subject to an appeal lodged to the Court of Arbitration for Sport, with the appeal eventually being dismissed. The 24 year old will compete in the women’s slalom and giant slalom.

Chrystal’s selection brings the NSWIS contingent on the Olympic team to 29.
