The 2015/16 UCI Track Cycling World Cup wrapped up in Hong Kong over the weekend with four NSWIS athletes competing.

Results from the event were highlighted by Peter Lewis narrowly missing out on a medal in the men’s team sprint after finishing fourth. Lewis joined Nathan Hart and Patrick Constable as the Australian trio were defeated by Russia in the bronze medal ride.

Lewis also finished 15th in the men’s sprint and 25th in the men’s keirin.

Fellow NSWIS athlete Kaarle McCulloch posted two top-10 events, claiming seventh and eighth in the women’s sprint and team sprint respectively; Scott Law finished sixth in the men’s omnium after an excellent final day that included two top-three finishes, and youngster Nicola Macdonald placed 13th in the women’s team pursuit.
