NSWIS cyclists Ashlee Ankudinoff and Kaarle McCulloch have both been named in the Australian team to contest the 2016 UCI World Track Championships in London.

Ankudinoff will get the chance to defend her world title in the women’s team pursuit alongside fellow world champions Amy Cure and Annette Edmondson. In 2015 the Australian team broke Great Britain’s dominance and set a new world record en route to gold.

McCulloch returns to the site of her Olympic bronze medal in 2012 and will compete in the women’s sprint events with an eye on Rio later this year.

The championships take place from 2-6 March.
