The Australian women’s netball team, the Diamonds, has been finalised ahead of the 2014 Commonwealth Games, with four NSWIS athletes selected.

The NSWIS quartet is highlighted by three athletes who will make their Commonwealth Games debuts in Glasgow; Sharni Layton (NSW Swifts), Caitlin Thwaites (NSW Swifts) and Kim Ravaillion (Queensland Firebirds).

The trio is joined by Kimberlee Green, who competed at the 2010 Commonwealth Games in Delhi, India, where Australia went down to arch-rivals New Zealand in a thrilling double overtime match.

The Diamonds have not won Commonwealth gold for 12 years and will face Wales, England, Barbados, Trinidad & Tobago and South Africa in their pool matches.

The Commonwealth Games take place in Glasgow, Scotland from 23 July – 3 August.
