Australia will field two divers in every individual event at the 2016 Olympic Games after securing a number of quota spots at the Oceania Championships over the weekend.

Quota spots were secured in the men’s 3m spingboard, women’s 10m platform and men’s 10m platform at the championships in Melbourne, with NSWIS athlete Brittany Broben securing a spot after winning the women’s 10m platform event.

The team had already secured two Rio spots in the women’s 3m springboard after NSWIS athlete Esther Qin and Maddison Keeney made the world championship final earlier this year.

Qin was also instrumental in helping secure a women’s 3m springboard synchro spot at Rio after winning bronze at the world championships alongside Samantha Mills.

Further quota spots will be available for the team at the 2016 World Cup in Rio as divers vie for positions in the women’s 10m platform synchro, men’s 10m platform synchro and men’s 3m springboard synchro events.
