Australia’s best divers will take to the boards at Sydney Olympic Park from tomorrow [Tuesday] as they battle it out for the title of Australian Champion at the 2025 Australian Open Championships.

With the Championships also acting as the 2025 World Aquatics Championships nomination trials, many divers will be vying to be in the top two positions to hopefully secure their place in the National Team.

Athletes competing in the Championships include 2023 10-metre platform World Champion Cassiel Rousseau, Olympians and World Cup divers Ellie Cole (New South Wales Institute of Sport/pictured above) , Alysha Koloi and Jaxon Bowshire, along with senior internationals Laura Hingston and Georgia Sheehan.

They will be joined by World Junior Champion Maggie Grey. Paris 24 silver medallist Maddi Keeney will miss the Championships due to sustaining a minor injury after the recent World Cup Series where she achieved bronze in all three individual 3-metre competitions, along with two bronze and a silver with her synchro partner Alysha Koloi.

Brisbane-based squad mate Cassiel Rousseau will take his renowned somersaults to the 3-metre springboard while also defending his Australian title on the 10-metre platform.
