As the countdown to the FINA World Championships heats up the Aussie Sharks are ready to embark on their European Tour in the build up to Budapest 2017.

Featuring eight athletes from the NSW Institute of Sport, the national men’s waterpolo team will head to camp in Dubrovnik ahead of a training camp and Test Series with Serbia in Krajuvec.

After winning the FINA World League Intercontinental Tournament on the Gold Coast the Aussie Sharks secured their spot at the FINA World League Final in Ruza, Russia from 18-26 June, where they will come up against Russia, Croatia and Japan in the preliminary rounds.

Following the World League Final they head to Italy where they will train and take part in a six nation tournament ‘Citta di Siracusa’ in Sicily which will feature sides from Croatia, Greece, Italy, Russia and USA.

The FINA World Championships will kick off in Budapest on 17 July 2017, with Australia drawing home side Hungary as well as France and Italy in the preliminary rounds.
