NSWIS cyclist Caleb Ewan has continued to impress by winning a silver medal at the 2012 UCI Road Cycling World Championships in the Netherlands.

Competing in the junior men’s category, Ewan clinched silver following a sprint to the line that saw him lead the rest of the challengers after Slovenia’s Matej Mohoric took gold. Mohoric made a daring solo breakaway in the final kilometre before the sprint to the line.

Fellow NSWIS athlete Amanda Spratt competed on Saturday at the championships, finishing 68th in the women’s elite road race.
