Five NSWIS rowers have been confirmed for World Cups two and three later this year, with a further three NSWIS athletes battling for another spot.

Rio 2016 Olympian Genevieve Horton has been confirmed in the women’s quad scull, joining fellow NSWIS athlete Rowena Meredith and Queenslander Caitlin Cronin as three of the four athletes making up the quad scull crew.

NSWIS athletes Leah Saunders, Fiona Ewing and Georgie Gotch will battle it out for the fourth and final spot in the boat over the coming months before a final decision is made.

Angus Moore, Alex Purnell and Campbell Watts have been confirmed as the NSWIS contingent in the men’s eight crew following the Sydney International Rowing Regatta.

The second World Cup takes place in Poznan, Poland from 15-18 June before World Cup three in Lucerne, Switzerland from 7-9 July 2017.
