NSWIS paddler Naomi Flood has continued her strong canoe sprint world cup form with two medals over the weekend in the Czech Republic.

Flood opened the campaign in stirring fashion with gold in the women’s K2 1000m with compatriot Bernadette Wallace. The Australian duo were fifth at the halfway mark before powering home to take line honours.

Flood then added individual honours to her gold by taking silver in the women’s K1 5000m, before an eighth place finish in the women’s K2 200m with Wallace, and first in the B final of the women’s K1 500m.

Fellow NSWIS athlete Lachlan Tame had his results highlighted by a seventh place finish in the men’s K1 500m.

The next world cup takes place in Poznan, Poland from 31 May – 2 June.
