NSWIS canoe sprinter Naomi Flood picked up a world cup medal over the weekend at the Poznan, Poland leg of the 2011 ICF Canoe Sprint World Cup.

Flood was joined by fellow Australians Rachel Lovell, Hannah Davis and Lyndsie Fogarty as the team took bronze in the women’s K4 500m. The quartet produced a time of 1:41.792 to finish behind winners Belarus, and 0.112 seconds from Portugal in silver.

Flood’s fellow NSWIS athlete Jo Brigden-Jones fell short of winning a medal in the women’s K1 1000m, finishing fourth in a time of 4:32.042.
