NSWIS paddlers Jessica Fox and Lucien Delfour have both claimed medals at the Spanish leg of the 2015 ICF Canoe Slalom World Cup.

Fox won gold in the non-Olympic C1 class after a near flawless run that saw a mistake on the first gate before a clean run through the rest of the gates. The win marked three consecutive years of C1 gold in Spain before Fox went on to finish fifth in the women’s K1.

Fellow NSWIS athlete Delfour was also in the medals, picking up bronze in the men’s K1.

Delfour clocked an impressive time of 90.50 seconds to lead the field with two boats left, before the reigning world champion from France and a local paddler snatched the top two spots.

The ICF Canoe Slalom World Cup now moves to Pau, France from 14-16 August.
