The 2014 Perth Track Classic took place over the weekend with significant results for NSWIS athletes Jarrod Geddes and Nicholas Hough. who both posted Commonwealth Games ‘B’ qualifiers.

Geddes’ qualifier came in the men’s 200m when he finished second in a time of 20.59, followed by Hough in the men’s 110m hurdles, who stopped the clock in 13.73 seconds en route to a silver medal.

NSWIS athlete Brandon Starc was unlucky to miss out on gold after finishing with silver in the men’s high jump. Starc and Chris Dodd were level after each jumping 2.23m, before Dodd was awarded the gold on a countback.
