NSWIS moguls skier Matthew Graham reached new heights in his career late last week with a maiden gold medal during the FIS Freestyle Skiing World Cup in the USA.

Graham qualified second for the final before producing a near flawless run in his final effort, scoring 83.48 points to defeat the reigning Olympic champion Mikael Kingsbury.

“I am super ecstatic, this is without a doubt the biggest and best result of my career to date,” Graham said to the Olympic Winter Institute of Australia after the win.

Graham’s fellow NSWIS athlete Brodie Summers finished in 20th position while Britt Cox placed eighth in the women’s freestyle moguls.
