The Australian women’s hockey team is back on track at the Hawkes Bay Cup after defeating Korea 2-0 in their second match of the tournament.

Featuring five NSWIS athletes, the Hockeyroos began the tournament with a 1-1 draw against Japan before reaching the winner’s circle in match two.

NSWIS athlete Grace Stewart scored the Hockeyroos’ second goal on 38 minutes as the defence held firm for the rest of the match to secure the victory.

Joining Stewart in the team were fellow NSWIS athletes Mariah Williams, Casey Sablowski, Georgina Morgan and Emily Smith.

The Hockeyroos sit second in Pool A and play Canada tomorrow.
