Seven NSWIS rowers have guided the the NSW men’s eight to a fourth consecutive Kings’ Cup over the weekend, easily accounting for their opponents in the most prestigious event on the Australian rowing calendar at the 2011 Australian Rowing Championships.

The team, comprised of cox Toby Lister, Olympic silver medallists Matt Ryan and Francis Hegerty and world championship silver medallist Dan Noonan, as well as Fergus Pragnell, Sam Loch and and Nicholas Purnell, clocked a time of 5:22.08 to finish ahead of Victoria and South Australia.

Other gold medallists from the regatta included Hudson and Noonan as part of the men’s quad scull, Lister and Cameron Girdlestone in the men’s coxed four and Rod Chisholm as part of the men’s lightweight quad scull.
