The new Australian men’s hockey coach Graham Reid has announced his squad for preparations ahead the 2014 Champions Trophy, with six NSWIS athletes included.

Three of the NSWIS athletes on the new look Australian squad will make their Kookaburras debut, with Matthew Dawson, Tom Craig and Flynn Ogilvie all set to make their first foray into senior international competition.

Rising star Matthew Wilton earned also earned a spot on the squad, while Commonwealth Games gold medallists Tristan White and Simon Orchard retain their spots.

The Kookaburras will face India in a four-match test series in November before the squad is trimmed to an 18-man team that will contest the Champions Trophy.

The Champions Trophy takes place in Delhi, India from December 6-14.
