The Australian Kookaburras have perched themselves at the top of the 2011 Shah Azlan Cup table after a solid 4-2 win over Korea.

It was once again a quick stat for the Australians, posting a goal in the eighth minute before NSWIS athlete Mark Paterson doubled the lead to 2-0 after 12 minutes. Korea bounced back strongly to score a goal in the 15th minute, however at half time the lead was 3-1 after another Australian goal in the 34th minute.

Four minutes after the break the Koreans scored again, cutting Australia’s lead to 3-2, where it remained for quite some time. Paterson then scored his second goal of the match and the eventual winner in the 67th minute to help Australia to 10 points overall and top spot on the ladder.
