NSWIS figure skater Cheltzie Lee has posted a new personal best by finishing 10th in the ladies’ singles event at the 2011 ISU Four Continents Figure Skating Championships in Taipei, Taiwan.

Lee totalled 127.90 points from her short program and free skating routines to achieve her highest finish at an international event. Lee has come along in leaps and bounds since competing at the 2010 Winter Olympic Games, where she finished 20th.

Elsewhere, snowboarders Holly Crawford and Alex Pullin have continued their outstanding winter form at the 2011 Stoneham World Cup in Canada.

Crawford took silver in the women’s half-pipe, scoring 24.5 points to finish only 0.3 points behind Xuetong Cai of China.

Despite finishing outside the final four in the men’s snowboard cross, Pullin was named world number one with two world cup rounds remaining. The honour comes after a sensational world championship victory and two podium finishes during December.
