NSWIS swimmer James Magnussen has sounded the loudest warning yet to his competitors by clocking the fastest ever time in a textile suit en route to victory at the 2012 Australian Swimming Championships.

Magnussen produced a 47.10 swim in the men’s 100m freestyle to secure Olympic selection in the individual and relay events, before telling his competitors around the world to "brace yourselves."

Fellow NSWIS swimmer Eamon Sullivan secured a relay berth with a fourth place finish in the event, while Matthew Abood narrowly missed out in seventh place. All three athletes will contest the men’s 50m freestyle beginning today.

Last night’s multi-class events also produced some NSWIS medallists; Jacqui Freney won gold in the women’s 100m freestyle and Tim Antalfy won bronze in the men’s 100m freestyle.
