NSWIS athlete Angela Ballard has stolen the show at the IPC Athletics Grand Prix in Switzerland, winning four gold medals and setting one new world record.

The highlight from a fantastic meet for Ballard came in the women’s 400m T53 where she won gold at set a new world record time of 54.73 seconds.

Ballard, who is coached by Paralympic legend Louise Sauvage, went 0.15 seconds quicker than the previous best mark to edge American Chelsea McClammer and training partner Madison de Rozario.

Ballard also secured gold in the women’s 100m T53, 200m T53 and 800m T53 to add to her new world record in the 400m.

Fellow NSWIS athlete Rosemary Little was also in fine form at the event, winning four silver and one bronze. 

Little took silver in the women’s 100m T34, 200m T34, 800m T34 and 1500m T34 before adding bronze in the women’s 400m T34.
