Paddler Jessica Fox has added to her world cup medal haul with another gold at the latest event in La Seu d’Urgell, Spain.

Fox matched her performance from Germany last week by notching her second consecutive gold medal in the women’s C1. Fox won in 121.71 seconds, nearly three seconds ahead of second place, before following her C1 heroics with a 10th place finish in the women’s K1.

Fox was joined on the medal podium by fellow NSWIS athlete Lucien Delfour, who claimed silver in the men’s K1. Delfour’s silver marked a career best finish on the world cup circuit, narrowly missing gold by just 1.31 seconds.

Also competing at the world cup event were NSWIS athletes Rosalyn Lawrence, 10th in the women’s C1 and 30th in the women’s K1; Alison Borrows, 18th in the women’s C1; and Ian Borrows, 25th in the men’s C1.
