Hockey One represents a major shift for Hockey in Australia as a re-imagined elite domestic league and entertainment product that puts fans first, with a new concept, new format, new club identities, new rule innovations and new access for fans with three home matches for every club. In more exciting news for fans, Kayo Sports, Australia’s multi-sport streaming service will show games live with the finals also to be televised live on FOX SPORTS.

NSW Institute of Sport Hockey Women’s Head Coach, Katrina Powell, welcomes the new format.

“It’s wonderfully exciting to see the launch of the new Hockey One League.

“It builds on the previous national competition and maintains a clear pathway for our elite hockey players in New South Wales through the NSW Pride team. The new format also means increased coverage for hockey which I know our players will relish.”

Brent Livermore, NSWIS Hockey Men’s Head Coach, points to Hockey One’s gender equality as a thrilling point of difference.

“I’m really looking forward to seeing the competition start. Having our state men’s and women’s squads playing under the same banner is a great initiative and shows how inclusive our sport is.”
