The Office of Sport will continue to support the NSW Institute of Sport’s annual night of night, sponsoring the Female Athlete of the Year category at the 2019 NSWIS Awards.

This award recognises the outstanding performance of an NSWIS athlete based on performances at a benchmark event, performances at other major international events, season’s best or personal best results as well as world rankings.

It’s the third year the Office of Sport are getting behind the showcase event since partnering with the NSWIS Awards in 2017.

The Office of Sport Female Athlete of the Year will be presented at a gala celebration at the Royal Randwick Racecourse on 14th November, with the best sporting talent from across Australia in attendance. The NSWIS Awards recognise and honour the achievements of NSWIS athletes, coaches and sport programs across nine categories.

Karen Jones, Acting Chief Executive at the Office of Sport is thrilled to be sponsoring this award once again, which they see as part of their close relationship with NSWIS.

“At the Office of Sport our goal is to promote active and healthy lifestyles. Elite athletes are excellent role models who offer great examples of living an active life”.
