New South Wales Institute of Sport scholarship holder Nicola Olyslagers continued with her brilliant form leading into this year’s World Athletics Championships by adding a gold medal to her collection after winning at the FBK Games in Hengelo, Netherlands.

The Games are a World Athletics Continental Gold meet, and Olyslagers – a two-time Olympic silver medallist – set the standard after leaping 1.97m.

The event’s organisers announced Olyslagers’ latest victory on Instagram with the simple message: ‘winning with grace.’

Jamaican Lamara Distin, the reigning Commonwealth Games champion, finished in second place after jumping 1.90m, while Sweden’s Engla Nilssen came third after clearing 1.85m.
