NSWIS paddlers Naomi Flood and Jo Brigden-Jones have both enjoyed a strong hit-out ahead at the Auronzo International Regatta over the weekend ahead of next month’s world championships.

Both athletes experienced individual success at the meet in northern Italy, with Flood picking up gold in the gruelling women’s K1 1000m, and Brigden-Jones taking gold in the short K1 200m. The NSWIS duo then teamed together to win gold in the women’s K2 200m and K2 500m events.

Flood and Brigden-Jones will now return to to training ahead of the 2014 ICF Canoe Sprint Championships, which take place in Moscow from 6-10 August 2014.
