Page notches another victory

NSWIS sailor Malcolm Page has added another title to his resume after winning gold at the 2011 470 European Championships in Finland.

Despite having a final race today, Page and his captain Mat Belcher have wrapped up the men’s 470 title after securing an unassailable 27 point lead heading into the day. The duo finished in 25th place yesterday, their first result outside the top nine all week, but were handed a slice of luck as their nearest competitors also failed to make an impact.

The next competition on the radar for Page is next week’s Olympic test event in Weymouth, England.
