The Australian team has been named for the 2016 UCI Para-Cycling World Championships with five NSWIS athletes earning selection.

Headlining the selections are 2014 world champions and 2015 world championship silver medallists Matt Formston and his pilot Mick Curran.

The tandem duo will be joined by London Paralympic medallists Simone Kennedy and Alex Lisney (nee Green), with Nick Yallouris also selected as the pilot for ACT-based athlete Paul Kennedy.

The championships take place in Montichiari, Italy from 17-20 March.

In other selection news, four NSWIS athletes have been selected to compete at the second UCI Track Cycling World Cup event in Hong Kong.

Included in the team are Kaarle McCulloch, Peter Lewis, Scott Law and Nicola Macdonald.

The World Cup takes place from 15-17 January.
