NSWIS snowboarder Alex Pullin has continued his outstanding year by winning the top award at the 2013 Australian Ski and Snowboard Awards in Melbourne.

Pullin was named the 2013 Snowsports Athlete of the Year after winning his second consecutive snowboard cross world championship earlier, the first Australian to win back-to-back world titles, before winning the snowboard cross world cup.

Pullin was nominated for the award alongside fellow NSWIS athletes Anton Grimus (ski cross), Britteny Cox (moguls), Russ Henshaw (ski slopestyle), Holly Crawford (snowboard half-pipe) and Torah Bright (snowboard slopestyle),

The Coach of the Year Award went to Pullin’s Olympic Winter Institute/NSWIS coach Ben Wordsworth, with NSWIS Freestyle Moguls Head Coach Peter Topalovic being named the Development Coach of the Year.

NSWIS athletes Cox and Belle Brockhoff were named dual winners of the Junior Athlete of the Year Award.
