Four NSWIS women’s water polo players have been included in the Australian squad preparing for the 2012 London Olympic Games.

Headlining the selections is 2008 Olympian Alicia McCormack, who played a vital role in goals for Australia as they won bronze at the Beijing Games. McCormack’s fellow NSWIS athletes Nicola Zagame, Holly Lincoln-Smith and Hannah Buckling will all look to make their Olympic debuts in London.

"We believe this squad is going to give us a great chance of winning the gold medal (in London) and we have strength and depth in every position," said Australian coach Greg McFadden.

The final team will be cut to 13 players in June.
