Discus thrower Dani Samuels has continued her solid international form with a fourth place finish at the Diamond League event in Lausanne, Switzerland.

Samuels’ best throw of 64.59m came in the fourth round and saw her finish just outside the medals, with third place taking bronze with 66.04m.

Cuban Yaimi Perez claimed gold with a throw of 67.13m, with Diamond League leader Sandra Perkovic taking silver.

Elsewhere at the 2015 Universiade, NSWIS athlete Michelle Jenneke claimed bronze in the women’s 110m hurdles.

Jenneke claimed her first senior international medal in a time of 12.94, overcoming fatigue and a cramped calf to notch the fastest time by an Australian at the Universiade.
