Seven NSWIS athletes have been included on the Australian men’s water polo team, the Sharks, for the upcoming world championships.

The selections were highlighted by five NSWIS athletes who competed at the 2012 London Olympic Games; goalkeepers Joel Dennerley and James Clark, as well as Richie Campbell, Aidan Roach and Johnno Cotterill.

NSWIS athletes Tyler Martin and Nathan Power will make their world championships debut after being selected on the team, with NSWIS Men’s Water Polo Head Coach Chris Wybrow being named an assistant coach for the national team.

The Sharks continued their preparations for the world championships, which begin on July 20, by competing in the Portugalete Cup over the weekend, where they defeated Italy and lost to Spain.
