NSWIS canoe sprinter Murray Stewart has shown impressive form at the second meet of the 2011 ICF Canoe Sprint World Cup in Racice, Czech Republic by winning two silver medals.

Stewart combined with former NSWIS scholarship holder David Smith to claim silver in the men’s K2 1000m in 3:16.934, before joining three fellow Australians to win another silver in the men’s K4 1000m, 0.027 seconds outside of gold.

Other NSWIS results from the Racice meet included Jo Brigden-Jones and Naomi Flood forming part of the Australian team that finished fifth in the women’s K4 500m, finishing in 1:37.584.
