Small won the slalom in Sainte Foy Tarentaise by just 0.01 seconds in what was her best ever FIS points performance. This success followed impressive performances in Tignes, France in 2017 for Small. She opened the new year with a sixth and eighth place in the Super G events before claiming ninth and then fourth in the Downhill.

The PyeongChang 2018 Winter Olympic Games is just over a year away, and Small will be looking to build on her experience at the previous Games in Sochi, and secure a place on the podium.
