The Australian men’s wheelchair rugby team, the Steelers, have sounded an ominous warning to their competitors ahead of the 2012 Paralympic Games by trouncing Great Britain in the final of the London invitational tournament.

The Steelers, led by NSWIS athlete Ryley Batt, pummeled the hosts 71-48 to claim the tournament only hours after being defeated 51-52 by Great Britain in the final round robin match of the tournament.

The Australian team had previously accounted for Canada and Sweden in the tournament, and will now hold an important psychological advantage leading into the Paralympic Games after tasting success in the London basketball arena.
