NSWIS swimmers Robert Hurley and Kenneth To have continued their outstanding form at the 2012 FINA Swimming World Cup, winning more medals at the Doha, Qatar leg of the event.

Hurley was the big winner from the two day competition in Doha, winning two gold, one silver and one bronze medal from four events. Hurley triumphed in the men’s 100m backstroke and 400m freestyle on the opening night of competition, before going on to win silver in the men’s 50m backstroke and bronze in the men’s 200m freestyle.

To matched his two gold haul from the Dubai leg of the event by winning the men’s 100m freestyle in a dead heat with compatriot Tommaso D’Orsogna, as well as triumphing in the men’s 100m individual medley. To then finished fourth in the men’s 100m butterfly and sixth in the men’s 50m freestyle.

The next world cup event takes place in Stockholm, Sweden from October 13-14.
