A total of 15 NSWIS athletes have confirmed their selection on Australian teams competing at the 2013 FINA Aquatic World Championships and IPC Swimming World Championships later this year.

Following the Australian titles in Adelaide, nine NSWIS athletes were selected on the team heading to Barcelona, Spain for the FINA world championships.

Olympic silver medallist James Magnussen headlines the selections along with fellow Olympians Jarrod Poort, Daniel Tranter, Jessica Ashwood and David McKeon.

They will be joined on the team by reigning 4x100m freestyle relay champion Matthew Abood, 2011 world championship finalist Kenneth To, David McKeon’s younger sister Emma McKeon and world championship debutant Ami Matsuo.


Six NSWIS athletes have been included on the Australian team heading to the IPC world championships in Montreal, Canada.

Headlined by youngster Maddison Elliott the sextet also includes Taylor Corry, Amanda Fowler, Sean Russo Tim Antalfy and Matthew Levy. All six athletes competed at the 2012 London Paralympic Games.
