The NSW Institute of Sport (NSWIS) is excited to announce global sports brand Mizuno has become an official sponsor and uniform supplier.

An expansion of the very successful pre-existing footwear partnership which has seen Mizuno support the NSWIS over a number of years, the new deal will see NSWIS athletes, coaches and staff supplied with generic uniform items manufactured by one of the world’s leading high performance apparel brands.

“It is very important that our athletes are equipped with clothing that allows them to train at their very best. Our partnership with Mizuno will allow this. Mizuno’s strong focus on research and high performance product development was integral in our decision to form a partnership,” said NSWIS Acting CEO Jane Spring.

Mizuno Australia’s Head of Sports Shane Holub was glad to showcase Mizuno products alongside the NSWIS, saying, "Mizuno are very proud to be the uniform partner of the NSW Institute of Sport. As a brand we are focused on providing athletes & teams with industry-leading technologies to enhance performance, and through this partnership we have the perfect platform to showcase these innovations."

Mizuno Australia will work closely with the NSWIS over the next few months, with the athletes, coaches and staff expected to be kitted out with the uniform later this year.

The partnership will run until the end of 2016, following the Rio De Janeiro Olympic and Paralympic Games.
