NSWIS athlete Britt Cox has been dominating World Cup moguls all season, and was further rewarded over the weekend in China.

A bronze on Saturday followed by yet another gold on Sunday – her seventh in just 11 competitions – saw her claim the Overall FIS Ladies Freestyle Skiing Crystal Globe, awarded to the highest scoring skier from all the categories in World Cup competition.

Cox heads into the World Championship in Spain next month in top form.

Cox said, “It felt amazing to lift that crystal globe this afternoon and even sweeter after finishing the World Cup circuit with another win,”

“I am so happy to have been able to do the skiing I had envisioned for myself this World Cup season and I’m grateful for my support network for helping me to do just that”.

In the men’s event there were more podium places for NSWIS athletes, with Brodie Summers taking World Cup silver and Matt Graham claiming bronze.

At the Asian Winter Games, in Australia’s first appearance at the competition, NSWIS athletes have also been impressing. In the women’s moguls event Sophie Ash and Jakara Anthony came 5th and 6th respectively in a strong field. In the women’s half-pipe Olympian Holly Crawford finished 7th.
