NSWIS paddler Lachlan Tame has finished the 2015 ICF Canoe Sprint World Cup in style by winning two medals at the final event in Copenhagen.

Following gold and silver medals in Portugal and Germany respectively, Tame added another silver and two bronze medals to his collection in Denmark.

Tame’s second silver of the World Cup campaign came in the men’s K2 1000m alongside compatriot Ken Wallace, before the duo added bronze in the K2 200m and a further bronze in the K4 200m with Jesse Philips and Stephen Bird.

There was added medal joy for NSWIS athletes David Smith and Riley Fitzsimmons as they won silver in the men’s K4 1000m alongside Jacob Clear and Jordan Wood, with the same quartet finishing ninth in the men’s K4 200m.

With the 2015 ICF Canoe Sprint World Cup now finished the Australian squad will return home to continue preparations for the 2015 ICF Canoe Sprint World Championships later this year.
