The Australian men’s and women’s water polo squads have taken shape in preparation for the 2013 FINA Aquatic Championships in Barcelona later this year.

The men’s team, the Sharks, features eight NSWIS athletes, including four Olympians.

Goalkeepers James Clark and Joel Dennerley are joined by their fellow Olympians and NSWIS athletes Richie Campbell and Johnno Cotterill, who will lead the line in attack.

The Olympic quartet is joined by fellow NSWIS athletes Gordon Marshall, Tyler Martin, Nathan Power and Aidan Roach, with the squad set to be cut to 15 closer to the championships.

The Australian women’s team, the Stingers, features four NSWIS athletes including two Olympians.

Holly Lincoln-Smith and Nicola Zagame retain their places in the team after winning a bronze medal at the 2012 Olympic Games, with the medal winning duo being joined by fellow NSWIS athletes Lea Barta and Keesja Gofers.
