NSW Institute of Sport (NSWIS) scholarship holder Lauren Parker has capped off an extraordinary week after winning her third world title and claiming Athlete of the Year with a Disability for a third time.

Lauren Wins A Dramatic Third World Title

NSWIS scholarship holder Lauren Parker created her own slice of Australian triathlon history in Abu Dhabi last week, hanging on to win her third PT Wheelchair Paratriathlon world title.

In the men’s event Nic Beveridge  finished seventh and Jon Goerlach 14th at the Para world championships while Matilda Offord finished 31st in the U23 world championships.

Four NSWIS Athletes Win Top Honours

World champion and para triathlete Lauren Parker was crowned Athlete of the Year with a Disability for a third time having won the award in 2018 and 2019, while Jasmine Greenwood was named Young Athlete of the Year with a Disability. 16 year old Valentino Guseli won Young Athlete of the Year and Alex Stewart, coach of world champion high jumper Eleanor Patterson, was voted Coach of the Year.
