Runner Eloise Wellings is the first NSWIS athlete to be selected to the Australian Olympic Team following ratification of her nomination by the Australian Olympic Committee.

Wellings was nominated to the AOC after notching a qualifying time and being crowned national champion in the women’s 10,000m during December.

The 33 year old, who competed in two events at the 2012 London Olympic Games, was one of five athletes to be selected for the 2016 Olympic Games.
