Head of Performance Health at the NSW Institute of Sport, Kate Mahony, has recently completed her Churchill Fellowship, with the purpose of the research being to investigate best practice sports science and sports medicine care of the female athlete.

Churchill Fellowships offer life-changing opportunities to travel overseas to learn more about specific topics or issues, in the hope that the new knowledge and experience gained from experts and specialists around the world will make a difference in Australia.

In honour of the 2020 NSW Women’s Week (2nd to 8th March), hear from Kate Mahony below as she discusses her paper and the importance of gender balance and equality in sport.
